The brief
Wright Communications has been charged with publicising a number
of high profile business award events in recent months and years,
including the Kea (Kiwi Expats Abroad) World Class New Zealand
Awards (2009 and 2010), which acknowledges successful New
Zealanders on the world stage.
The Wright solution
Wright Communications developed a four-month media relations
campaign for Kea, from the initial call for entries through to the
awards evening. We proactively targeted a variety of channels to
maximise mainstream media coverage for each category winner, in
addition to targeting niche vertical market publications such as
science and advertising media.
Client satisfaction
The media campaign was extremely successful with more than half
a million dollars worth of coverage generated in television, radio,
online, magazines and newsletters. Individual stories ran on the
likes of TV One's Close Up, along with the New Zealand
Herald, Management and MiNDFOOD
magazines.

Studies
Wright Communications delivered on all fronts and, as a result, we had significantly increased media exposure and greater brand awareness for the Awards amongst the general public. Wright Communications also became an integral part of the strategic planning sessions for the World Class New Zealand programme. We appreciated its team effort behind the well researched strategic initiatives; many of these have been successfully implemented.
